TASTING NOTES
-
Nose
The nose is an enticing bouquet of sweet and floral notes, with coconut and lime leading the way. Glace ginger and anise introduce a delightful spice, while hints of rum, allspice and pimento add depth. Liquorice bullets and dulce de leche offer a rich sweetness, complemented by hazelnut syrup and honeydew melon. A refreshing note of cucumber provides a clean, bright contrast. Herbal nuances of pineapple salvia, basil, and a hint of Diosma blend seamlessly with an alluring Maillard note from the barbecue.
-
Palate
The palate rolls in beautifully, offering no resistance. It features a full body with a very silky texture that builds to a creamy sensation. Caramel fudge and apple pie filling provide a comforting sweetness, balanced by the rich spice of liquorice. Nutty almond notes, mint, and raspberries add layers of complexity, with pineapple rounding out the tropical profile.
-
Finish
The finish delivers a massive burst of tropical honey sweetness, which gradually transitions to a grainy complexity. The full body maintains a gentle grip and waxy coating, evolving into notes of English Breakfast tea and cocoa. The ripe flesh of an orange, pineapple jelly, and cape gooseberry contribute to the fruity richness, while a hint of quince paste and grapefruit add a touch of tartness. Prune brings a darker, more complex layer to the finish.
