Single Cask Brandy
Like its younger sibling TDB0008 that won World’s Best Brandy in 2021, TDB0022 was distilled from Tasmanian Huon Valley Chardonnay and matured in a first-fill French oak ex-Tawny cask. A maturation of 14 years and 10 months has allowed the essence of the Chardonnay grape and the influence of the oak to reach a perfect balance - creating an exceptional brandy.
Sullivans Cove XO Single Cask Brandy, like our Single Cask whiskies, is bottled one cask at a time, allowing each to express its own unique character. Each cask has been aged for a minimum of eight years and is bottled completely unblended and with no added colouring or flavouring of any kind. Many of these XO Single Cask bottlings are also single varietal, allowing you to taste the individul quality of each Tasmanian wine. These single cask brandies will strike a chord with single malt whisky drinkers due to their intense depth, rich complexity and balanced elegance.

TASTING NOTES
-
Nose
Rich and heady, drawing you in with a syrupy allure. Rum and raisin ice cream, soft nougat, and golden syrup lead the way with dreamy vanilla fudge adding depth. Layers of maple syrup, creamy custard tart, and marzipan rise through waves of spiced apples and demerara sugar. Sweet sugar syrup and ripe fruits round out beautifully complex nose.
-
Palate
A silky, full-bodied texture envelops the palate where dark chocolate covered raisins mingle with a rum-topped coconut panna cotta. Vanilla syrup and pine needles lead in tropical melons and apples - a swirl of sweetness and floral notes. An undercurrent of sticky tobacco and red chili flakes provide structure, melting together with brown sugar and silky cake batter.
-
Finish
Warmth, toasted coconut, and creamy nougat take centre stage. A hint of cigar box emerges, grounding the delicate eau de vie, while oak lends a supportive framework without overpowering. Dark chocolate and tobacco continue their journey from the palate, joined by warm oven baked pound cake and chewy macaroons for a long and mouth watering finish.
“Our dedication to long-term maturation has remained the same since 1994, enabling us to consistently release Australia’s oldest whiskies, a choice underpinned by one ethos - the whisky comes good when the whisky comes good; we don’t bottle to a schedule, instead, we are guided by the liquid.”
