“Superb. Balance and integration are spot on, with oak always in support of the spirit rather than leading it. The Pinot cask influence is well-judged, adding richness without overpowering. Biscuity malt remains at the core throughout, giving the whisky its depth and identity.”

TASTING NOTES
-
Nose
Walnut and confectionary raspberry, with Pinot cask influence, come through immediately. A lactic-fruity banana milkshake note, alongside a touch of strawberry jam. Classic kids' party white bread with hundreds and thousands deepens into notes of rich butter on fresh sourdough.
-
Palate
Silky, slippery mouthfeel - really soft. Sourdough notes from the nose carry through, diving into ripe boysenberries. Golden raisins, deep mint, and cocoa emerge, wrapped in a deeply malty character. A playful touch of lime musk sees you to the finish.
-
Finish
Brilliantly integrated oak. Creamy, buttery shortbread and scones fill the mid-section. Pulpy orange juice and Italian aperitif. Ripe watermelon and boysenberries linger, backed by a whisper of light fennel seed and liquorice.

“Our dedication to long-term maturation has remained the same since 1994, enabling us to consistently release Australia’s oldest whiskies, a choice underpinned by one ethos - the whisky comes good when the whisky comes good; we don’t bottle to a schedule, instead, we are guided by the liquid.”
